ABOUT ME
A bilingual (English/Italian) journalist and editor based in Manchester area, twice nominated for the International Journalism Festival Awards (Travel Section), specialising in food, arts, lifestyle, and travel.
Former features writer for the Italian National Newspaper La Repubblica, my portfolio includes interviews with Nigella Lawson, Gino D'Acampo, Sir Terence Conran, Aldo Zilli, Tricia Guild, Orla Kiely, Allegra Hicks, the world's top chefs Heinz Beck and Massimo Bottura, contemporary artists like Michelangelo Pistoletto, Ettore Spalletti plus key international executives (Nokia, Microsoft, Sony, Coca-Cola, Illy Caffé).
As a Food & Lifestyle Editor for Individual Restaurants , I have been responsible for implementing the digital strategy of the Italian brands "Piccolino" and "Gino D'Acampo My Restaurants", working within tight deadlines while keeping an eye on the budget. My responsibilities included the development and management of the sites' editorial voice and style, the weekly editorial calendar, the daily content programming and production of the website and social media, the editing of the monthly magazine "Gino D'Acampo, La Gazzetta". Experienced scriptwriter and food storyteller I have been also responsible for crafting dialogues and writing engaging plots for different kinds of videos such as promos, lifestyle insights and commercials.
Senior member of the Italian Professional Journalists Society, holding an MA in Communication Studies from the University of Rome, after working several years for a variety of online and print publications (amongst them Italia Oggi, Il Sole 24 ore, FBC Media, SKY, Gambero Rosso, Italia!), I launched the digital lifestyle magazine CrunchyTales.com, focused on empowering bright women over 40.
When not writing, I like keeping busy as a presenter and speaker for international meetings, conferences, awards, trade shows, galas, cooking shows. Creator of "Salotto Italiano" (Individual Restaurants Production), a series of charity events in support of the Prince's Trust , I focus my work on empowering women through arts, literature and wellbeing. Former Brand Ambassador for Gino D'Acampo Restaurants, I have been also involved in several "road-shows" around UK promoting the Italian way of life. I host the Literary Cruise "La Nave dei Libri-Barcelona", the Terna International Contemporary Art Prize, the Gambero Rosso 50th Anniversary Wine & Food Awards and I have been the official Italian Cultural Institute's debate moderator in London for the launch of the new brand "Piacere Modena" dedicated to Italian excellences. During the Olympics 2012, I covered all the major events at Casa Italia in Westminster.
Part of the Great British Presenters network (International section), I am also a proud member of Toastmasters International.
